GreenPower launches its Renewable Gas Certification Pilot for businesses
Renewable gas certification is now available for Australian biogas, biomethane and renewable hydrogen projects that can then be sold to commercial and industrial gas users.
Under a new pilot program by GreenPower, producers can register projects through the established Green Gas Certification Scheme registry platform to create and transfer certificates. Gas users can purchase these certificates to match their fossil natural gas use with low-emission renewable gas.
This program will support renewable gas projects in regional New South Wales, creating positive impacts by reducing emissions and propelling circular economy outcomes.
