NewH2 to join panel on new energy technology solutions at virtual O2N Forum

The comprehensive virtual forum this Thursday will explore energy opportunities coming to the Central West and Orana regions

O2n forum event

The Orana Opportunity Network (O2N) will host an online Forum of over 100 delegates from the mining, technology, resources, energy and infrastructure sectors for the inaugural O2N 2022 Resources, Energy and Industry Innovation Forum.

The Forum will deep dive into the significant resources and energy development opportunities in the Orana and Central West regions. It will also showcase significant projects and initiatives, hear from thought leaders on topics driving the region toward greater economic growth, industry collaboration, and increased public and private investment.

The University of Newcastle is a proud supporter of this first-of-its-kind Forum. The University’s Executive Director of the Newcastle Institute for Energy and Resources (NIER), Prof Alan Broadfoot says he is looking forward to providing insight into how the University can connect industry to education and research in the regions.

“At the O2N Forum we will reveal our Resources Research Roadmap which includes an overview of current and planned research priorities relevant to the Orana and Central West regions, and how industry can engage with us to solve industry challenges”, Prof Broadfoot says.
